Joanne C. Letwinch has taught elementary school for more than twenty years. During her career, she instituted classroom programs
in integrated thematic instruction, cooperative learning, multiple intelligences, and authentic assessment. She also has developed interdisciplinary thematic units based on literature, science, social studies,
and language skills. Presently, she teaches in New Jersey's Haddonfield Public Schools, where she initiated the Young Astronaut Program. As a member of the Young Astronauts of New Jersey Executive Council, she received the NJEA Distinguished Service to Education Award in 1991. Joanne has been a presenter at the National
Science teachers Association National Convention and the New jersey Science Teachers Association Conventions. |
